Z's restaurant and bar

Every detail of this 10,000 square foot restaurant in Chambersburg, Trenton has been designed or specified by Kiss + Cathcart, from space planning and architecture down to lighting, graphics, tableware, and music programming.

A window wall in the dining room opens onto a previously unused backyard filled with seasonal plantings and an outdoor seating porch. The dining room itself is distinguished by rotund plaster columns supporting billowing, arched ceilings. All lighting is indirect, except for custom-designed wall sconces.

At the bar, a cherrywood counter stretches out in front of enormous mirrors, allowing patrons to make surreptitious eye contact while enjoying their drinks. In the back areas, the kitchen has been totally reconfigured and fitted with all-new fixtures. The entire building has been made handicapped-accessible.
